I am an Algerian-born, Kuwait-raised, UK-based visual artist and creative producer. Predominantly based between London and Manchester, my artistic practice explores and dismantles the different interpretations of societal notions, particularly within the context of post-coloniality and queerness through performance, installation and image-making.
I have a proven record of exhibiting across the UK and Europe while working with local communities. Among other prominent organisations, I have collaborated with SomoS Berlin, Manchester International Festival, Live Art Development Agency (London), V&A Museum (London), HOME Manchester, P21 Gallery (London) Liverpool Arab Arts Festival (Liverpool), The Arab British Centre (Manchester).
In parallel to my artistic practice, I have also held a number of professional roles within the creative producing industry including, formerly, with Shubbak Festival (London) and, currently, with Crafts Council (London).
