Youcef Hadjazi is a cultural strategist, programme leader, and artistic researcher working between the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. His practice bridges cultural policy, artistic production, and critical research, examining how identities, behaviours, and public spaces are shaped within postcolonial contexts.

British-Algerian - Algiers-Born and Kuwait-raised, his work is grounded in a transnational perspective and focuses on the intersections of power, belonging, and social performance. He designs and leads strategic cultural programmes spanning talent development, international collaboration, and public engagement, working across institutional, community, and policy environments.

Alongside his strategic practice, he maintains an active artistic research portfolio informed by performance theory and psychoanalytic frameworks, exploring masculinity, memory, and spatial politics through installation, photography, and participatory formats.

He has collaborated with organisations including Manchester International Festival, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Live Art Development Agency, HOME Manchester, and SomoS Berlin. He is currently completing a fully funded AHRC doctoral research project at Newcastle University and serves as Change Programmes Lead at the Federation of Scottish Theatre.
